“We are very grateful for the huge effort by Sophie by undertaking this challenge on our behalf. She has done so well and we at Head2Head Sensory Theatre are very proud to have been nominated as her chosen charity for this event by Sophia – thank you!”

My Prudential RideLondon

Sophie Rayner is 12 and, as part of the My Prudential RideLondon , cycled 34.5 miles in under 4 hours to raise funds for Head2Head Sensory Theatre.

The charity provides multi-sensory, interactive shows for children and young people with a wide range of disabilities.  As carers for 3 young people with special needs, Sophie’s Nan and Grandad have taken part in Head2Head’s inclusive theatre performances for many years.  But 7 grandchildren couldn’t be left out of the fun so, from an early age, Sophie has enjoyed the shows.  When Ann Potter, told her granddaughter about the My Prudential RideLondon, Sophie leapt at the chance to raise money for the charity.

Accompanied by her Dad, Sophie decided to tackle Box Hill in Surrey, famous for its inclusion in professional bike races and is pictured at the summit.

Since the Coronavirus Head2Head has been entertaining children and young people with special needs on-line and via zoom sessions.  Sophie’s Nan comments, “Our young people have taken part in Head2Head’s zoom performances, having great fun.  This has been a very welcome and refreshing activity.”

It’s not too late to say ‘well done’ to Sophie by donating
